Halloween is just around the corner, and with it, countless opportunities to derail our health and overindulge in sugary candies. Get ahead of the game this year by preparing a batch or two of healthy THM candy for Halloween. Your body will thank you!
I’m always amazed at how quickly the holidays arrive. When October hits, I bring out the Halloween decorations, bake all things pumpkin, and start gearing up for trick-or-treating (or, in this case of COVID, an intimate family gathering at home).
One of my favorite ways to celebrate holidays is with healthy treats. I love indulging in sweets that don’t lead to bloat, low energy, or tight-fitting pants. Not to mention, when I have a batch of healthy candy options on hand, I’m less likely to help myself to my kids’ stash.
Many of these candies can be easily made in a baking dish and cut into bars. But if you want to make these treats even more festive, you can add sugar-free sprinkles, sugar-free m&ms, or a couple of candy eyeballs. You could also use Halloween candy molds or candy wrappers to make them special.
